James 3:2 Taming the tongue

Taming the Tongue James 3
Taming the Tongue James 3

“We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check” James 3:2

Now we are talking more ab what the Holy Spirit can help US strive towards. I believe that we will never be perfect until we are in heaven, but we can ask God daily to change us and mold us as our Potter. Andrea spoke ab the Potter yesterday.

James was the half brother of Jesus, so that makes Mary, his mom. Mary is known for controlling her tongue and treasuring things that happened to her in her heart. I feel as though I am a fly on the wall, listening to her instruct James as he was growing up…when I read the wonderful book of James!

The 3rd chapter in my. Bible is titled “Taming the Tongue”. Taming reflects something that is wild and uncontrollable – which the tongue certainly is. But may I be allowed to go with my mind in a diff avenue? We also need to use our tongue for His Glory…to encourage daily …to minister those around us who are hurting…to speak up when the Holy Spirit gives us that “unction” / that overwhelming good feeling that we must open our mouth and share the words that He is giving us to say to that person at that moment…to speak the truth in love and not stuff our words and make ourselves sick in the process.

I thank the Lord that he had that we’re jump on top of the page to me thank you Jesus. I’m speaking of the encourage daily 3:13. it would be home to hug someone when they were verbally assaulting you. that would be an extreme control of our tongue but with God all things are possible. He is able.
No one is perfect except Jesus, but He is ABLE to help us when we stumble with saying too much or not enough! Amen!

Hebrews 2:18 He is Able to help those who are being tempted…

Hebrews 2:18

Hebrews 2:18

I have been studying the word “able” in the Bible. I am almost done, but here is the Scripture I studied:

Hebrews 2:18 “Because  He Himself suffered when he was tempted, He is ABLE to help those who are being tempted.”

We are not ALONE! Jesus Himself knows our weakness and He is able to help us

It is when we feel we don’t “fit” that God can really use us.  We depend on Him totally to walk us through our circumstances.  Who better than our Creator to show us where we “fit”?  The pot does not say to the potter, “I am not fit to be a soup tureen, I am more of a water pitcher sort of vessel.”  Although, I may have said such a thing to the Lord in my life.

Just like we, as moms, see our children go through circumstances that happen to us when

we were children…we can HELP them through the pain and suffering. We know their anguish and we can lovingly teach them a better way! All we have to do is draw near to God and ask for help. Just as we would take our child into our arms, God Himself draws us close and keeps us under his wing so that we can feel and hear His

heartbeat and the

warmth of His protection. Amen!

There is power through the Blood of Jesus

There is power through the Blood of JesusToday’s Scripture is Hebrews 7:25

“Therefore He is ABLE to save completely those who come to God through him, because He always lives to intercede for them.”

The word -completely- jumped out at me. My Bible shows the word “forever” in a footnote for the word completely. That made me think about heaven. He saves Debbie completely and forever when Debbie comes to God through Jesus (a condition to be met on my part). Heaven will be without end….I will be with my family, who I do not get to see every day here on earth! But in heaven…..  : D Praise God!

Hebrews 3:13 Encouragement Bible Study

Hebrews 3:13

Hebrews 3:13

Yesterday, I was enjoying my morning Bible study. I came across the Scripture of Hebrews 3:13 “Encourage one another daily, so as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.”
The first portion of that verse was a Rama Word to me and I knew God was speaking to me.
This is what came of that:
Each morning, after I have read my daily Bible verse.
I will keep it short and sweet. (Unless the Holy Spirit has other plans that morning!) I know this is nothing new to do, but God must have something exciting to happen with this!
I don’t know how long this will go on; I am counting on the Holy Spirit to give me the guidance on that!
